- Applicants can access a one-off $7,000 payment; although must be buying or building their first home in Australia (and must be Australian citizens or permanent residents).
- Applicants must not have owned a home, either separately or with some other person.
- Joint applicants will be restricted to a single application for a property and the grant will be a once off payment of $7,000.
- An eligible home must be intended to be a principal place of residence and occupied within a reasonable period and must meet local planning standards.
